Altered totes

For a smaller birthday party, we got half-price white vinyl totebags from Target. We decorated them using camoflauge tape in different colors (from identi-tape.com,). We drew words and icons with black, silver and blue Sharpie pens. We added newspaper scraps using Mod-Podge (one layer under the scraps to affix; one layer above to seal).

We think the look is hip, fun, and urban (for a group of Orange County girls!).

Straw puppets

Draw a character or family of characters. (Ours are star creatures.) Cut out and add drinking straws and you have puppets.
